Summer is such a fun season. The weather is usually nice, warm, and sunny – perfect for spending a day outdoors at the beach with friends or planning a picnic. Looking your best for summer is something that a lot of people are concerned about, however, because it’s not an easy thing to do. However, if you use all these tips for looking fantastic in time for summer, you will look great in your swimwear and no matter where else you are during the summer months.

Here are some tips and tricks for looking fantastic in time for next summer.

Join a Fitness Program

You don’t need to join an expensive gym in order to stay healthy and fit, there are plenty of exercises that you can do right at home. Always try eating foods with high fiber content so they will fill you up fast. Foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are the best choices for a healthy diet.

Skincare

Skincare is very important to look fantastic for summer. If you have dry skin use an oil-free moisturizer and face cream with SPF 20 or higher; if you have oily skin use a non-greasy face lotion with SPF of 15 or lower. Also, drink at least 1-2 liters of water per day and do not forget your sunscreen (that other SPF is not enough)! Do weekly facial workouts to make your skin look more toned and young too. Use tinted moisturizers to give yourself a more youthful appearance without the caked look.

Also, drink lots of water. Water is actually the key to looking your best in time for summer and staying healthy this warm season. Water keeps you hydrated and always feeling fresh and radiant, so make an effort to drink enough water every day, even if it does feel like a chore.

Tanning Tips

Get a base tan before summer so you do not get burned when you are on vacation or outdoors. Use coconut oil to moisturize your skin and apply cocoa butter with vitamin E beforehand in order for your skin to be protected from the sun’s damaging rays. Avoid bronze packages at tanning places because they only have a low amount of UVB rays but lots of UVA rays, which causes cancer! The tanning brand that you use should only have UVB in it as well as proper protection like sunglasses. Don’t forget, sunscreen is key to looking fantastic in time for summer.

Fashion

Your wardrobe will be the main factor to looking fantastic next summer. Spend time every week updating your wardrobe by adding new pieces including new pants/jeans, shirts, dresses, tops, blouses, etc. Check out online for great fashion tips on what to wear where and when.

Do not forget to add accessories such as jewelry, watches, and sunglasses that can spruce up your perfect beach outfit. It is always a good idea to wear something that fits well and accentuates your best features. Before buying any kind of item of clothing, try it on at least twice. Hair Care 

Your hair will be a big part of your look for summer, so do not get the same hairstyle as all your friends because it is “in”. Find the right haircut for you by getting advice from friends who are professional hairstylists or consider going into a hair salon and asking them what their honest opinion about the style would be.

Also, make sure that you condition your hair regularly and use products like argan and coconut oil daily before bed to protect it from any damage, this will keep it healthy and beautiful looking. Avoid applying heat too often when drying or styling because this damages your hair over time, plus sometimes driers blow hot air which could dry out your scalp if you have dandruff. Try a diffuser which is an attachment that attaches to your blow dryer and allows for gentle airflow.  Also, make sure you use leave-in conditioners or moisturizers because that helps keep your hair healthy.

Don’t Forget Your Nails

Your nails should always be trimmed nicely. Fingernails are an easy way to keep your appearance under control, and if you take care of them properly, they will only look better. Keep a small pair of nail clippers handy wherever you go so you can trim your nails when necessary. When applying polish, apply several thin coats rather than one thick coat. Having thick coats ends up cracking because it takes too long to dry between layers. If using two colors or effects use only one coat of each, let the first dry completely then apply a second.  It may take longer but it will be worth the wait.

Attitude is Everything

Succumb to the joys of summer by having an open mind and heart. Remember that summer is a time to relax, have fun and enjoy. Be sure that you are not running yourself ragged all day long during the warmth. Take some time out of your day for yourself; if you get everything done in one day, you might be too exhausted by the end of it and miss out on summer’s best parts!

Looking awesome for summer is not an impossible task. Try these tips: join a fitness program to get your body in shape and dress for the season with more skin. If you’re on a budget, invest in some new clothes that will last through this summer and next as well! Remember to take care of your hair too – it’s one of the first things people notice about you. It may be time to update those old nail polish colors or even try something new like gel nails.
