Super Eats Kale Chips: Like Regular Chips, They Just Happen to be Made out of Kale
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

For MOMS & MOMS-TO-BE and Toddlers 18 MONTHS+

Trying to convince a chip lover to switch out their favorite snack for a piece of baked vegetable that looks like anything but a true chip is not easy. Trust me – I know from first hand experience!

From the way it tastes to the look and texture of it, Kale “chips” are definitely not for everybody. Even when they taste great, it’s often the look of them that scares consumers away the quickest.

The Founders of Super Eats Kale Chips felt this same way, and so, the anti-kale kale chip was born.

THE PRODUCT: Super Eats Kale Chips are nothing like your typical kale chip. Shaped like a tortilla chip with a crunchy texture and consistency like one too, Super Eats Kale Chips are your chip-lovers kale chip.

Made with kale, beans, and whole chia seeds, Super Eats aren’t your typical flimsy kale-looking “chip”, but are strong, sturdy, and dippable.

Available in 5 flavors, including Sea Salt, Ranch, Chili Lime, Cheddar and Tomato Basil, these chips may be green in color, but they are definitely the closest “kale chip” to rival their beloved brethren.

NUTRITION-WISE: Super Eats Kale Chips are packed full of nutrient-dense superfoods with kale [surprise, surprise] as the main ingredient. You will also find a mix of black beans and/or navy beans, corn masa, whole chia seeds, and some other choice ingredients, depending on the flavor.

Gluten Free, Non-GMO, kosher, paleo, and vegetarian-friendly, some of the flavors are also dairy-free and vegan, including the Sea Salt, Tomato Basil and Chili Lime varieties.

Coming in at around 120-130 calories per serving, 60 of which come from healthy fats, you will also find 4 grams of both fiber and protein, only 1 gram of sugar, and a nice amount of Antioxidants, Omega 3s, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Iron.

*If your toddler is able to chew foods with a crunchy texture, then they will have no problem with Super Eats Kale Chips. Filled with healthy ingredients, all of which are non-GMO, I would have no issue feeding these to my little guy. However, if your child (or you for that matter), don’t eat dairy, then avoid the Ranch and Cheddar flavors.

WHERE TO BUY: Super Eats Kale Chips can be purchased directly through their website, or to find the retail location nearest you, please visit their Store Locator.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I’ll admit that I’ve never been a huge chip eater. Growing up, I had an allergy to tomatoes (thank God I outgrew that!), I wasn’t a fan of guacamole (now I’m obsessed!), and I would have preferred a bag of pretzels any day to one of chips. However, once I discovered kale chips, I became a huge fan and would easily scarf down a handful or two.

However, I am well aware that not everyone shares my same sentiment. Take my husband for example. He won’t even try them because they don’t ‘look’ like chips. And that’s why I like Super Eats Kale Chips.

Yes, they are green in color, and no, they don’t exactly taste like “real” chips, but they do have a similar look, texture, and dip-ability making them a much easier pass-off then any of the others I’m tried to give to a chip connoisseur. Plus, when you use them as a dipping chip, it’s really the dip you taste, not the chip anyway – at least that’s what I’ve always thought 😉 And even by themselves they are pretty good, so I’d say they are definitely worth a shot!

Plus, when you are feeding them to your little ones or putting them in your child’s lunches, they most likely won’t even know the difference, albeit the green color of course.

Try any or all of Super Eats Kale Chips today and see for yourself what the new face of kale chips can taste like.
