However, if I wasn’t currently pregnant, now would probably be the time that I’d consider taking one since we are leaving for our beach vacation in less than 1 week! Especially when it’s as easy as drinking water…

NUTRITION-WISE:
Detoxwater Bioactive Aloe Water is a ready-to-drink beverage made with vitamins, electrolytes, and the highest quality Aloe Vera. With only 30 calories per bottle, and 8 grams of sugar, per serving, Detoxwater delivers the clinically proven benefits of pure Aloe Juice – an ingredient known to support immune function, healthy digestion, nutrient absorption, and improved skin elasticity.
Detoxwater is also Certified USDA Organic, OU Kosher, Vegan, and Gluten-free, and is free of any artificial colors, flavors and/or preservatives.
Furthermore, Detoxwater contains 350mg of ACTIValoe aloe gel flakes with no less than 10% aloe polysaccharides by dry weight. That’s like drinking a shot of the most extensively researched and clinically-proven, Pure Aloe Juice. In fact,
Detoxwater has partnered with Aloecorp, the world’s largest aloe farmer and aloe ingredient supplier, to provide the most premium aloe ingredient, ACTIValoe.
ACTIValoe is research-proven to retain and enhance the biological activity of native Aloe Vera. Using a proprietary and patented process known as QmatrixProcessing, ACTIValoe is the first standardized Aloe Vera to guarantee a minimum of 10% polysaccharides by weight, ensuring batch-to-batch consistency and enhanced biological activity.
Moreover, all of DetoxWater’s Aloe Vera is locally sourced from aloe farms in Texas and Mexico and are Certified Organic by both the USDA and International Aloe Science Council. Farmers handpick and harvest a few aloe leaves from each plant to allow restoration. From the farm to the bottle, they’ve lowered their carbon footprint by sourcing and packing everything right here in the Americas.
Generally speaking, Aloe Vera also contains the following benefits:
- Anti-Inflammatory:Raise your cardio and physical endurance for optimum workouts and accelerate physical recovery by alleviating joint and muscle pain. Maintain a healthy cardiovascular system.
- Gastrointestinal & Digestive Health:Stimulate the growth of good bacteria to help protect your digestive system and promote overall health and well-being. Drink your prebiotics!
- Immune System Health:Enhance your immunity for a healthier and longer life with the antioxidants your body needs to prevent and fight illnesses. Kill free radicals and reduce oxidative stress within your body!
- Healthy Blood Sugar and Regulation:Detoxify your body and help it find balance. Regulate and stabilize blood sugar levels, high blood pressure, and lower bad cholesterol.
- Skin Health & Anti-Aging:Rejuvenate your body at a much deeper level than just the surface. Improve your skin elasticity and fight those wrinkles. Beauty starts from the inside out.
*Since a young child’s body is much more sensitive to foods and supplements, I don’t recommend children under 2-years drinking the beverages by Detoxwater since it may soften stools and cause diarrhea. However, if your child is having trouble going to the bathroom, this could be a safe and more natural approach than many of the OTC medicines you may find. Furthermore, according to Aloe Life, drinking Aloe Vera is safe for children over 12 months. As always, please consult your physician before starting any new supplement for your child.
THE COMPANY:
Founder, Kenneth Park, has been drinking Aloe since his early childhood days and it all stems from his mother. She experienced serious digestive issues and when all recommended medications failed, one doctor suggested trying Aloe.
Adding Aloe Water to her diet not only resolved her stomach problems, but also improved her immune response to these on-going stomach pains. After realizing the plethora of benefits she experienced from ingesting Aloe, Ken’s mother shared her Aloe Smoothies with the rest of her family. Every morning with breakfast, she would serve her delicious Aloe-filled smoothies blended with fruits, and yogurt to neutralize the plant’s naturally bitter taste.
Detoxwater is essentially a re-launch of the business Kenneth started in his dorm room at Babson College. In 2012, he created Superleaf Organic Aloe Juice and sold cases on campus, juggling classwork and business. They call it experimental because the product was created for the sole purpose of learning major aspects of the beverage business. Superleaf turned out to be quite successful with the handful of accounts with strong recurring orders from retailers.
However, the initial Superleaf drink was a similar variation of existing aloe drinks on the market, which did not deliver all the potential health benefits of truly bioactive Aloe Vera. With the strategic partnership and support from Aloecorp, Ken was able to turn his private-label import business into Detoxwater: a truly, bioactive Aloe Water that is Organic, Vegan, Kosher, and now proudly made in the USA.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I think the word “detox” has a stigma attached to it – one that suggests starving oneself to find a short-term solution to become “healthier” and/or to lose weight. And I agree: I’m not a fan of detoxing – in the typical sense of the word – because I think health and weightloss need to be part of a lifestyle plan, not one that can be done in a day or two.
Which brings me to my point: when I first heard of Detoxwater, I was skeptical about it, thinking it was another “quick fix” for a larger problem. Yet after delving into the ingredients of the product and realizing that this is meant to be part of a lifestyle, I was intrigued. After tasting it – I was hooked J.
Having been a fan of drinking Aloe for many years – because of the health benefits, [definitely not the taste] – I was happy to finally find a brand that offered all of the great nutritional benefits without that nasty bitter aftertaste. My one negative, however, is the fact that Detoxwater contains quite a bit of sugar per serving, which I try to avoid altogether when it comes to my beverages. If they could replace this with Erythitol, Stevia, or something similar, I’d be a consumer for life. Until then, I will be an occasional drinker knowing that I am still doing something great for my digestion and health – in general.
Looking for a tastier way to get your Aloe fix – or a refreshing way to liven up your digestion? Then you’ve got to try Detoxwater! Because it’s those small steps that make healthy living a lifestyle – so why not take one today?!
