January 18th Newsletter
Man, what a couple of weeks! Between having no internet for nearly all of last week and then being out of cable for nearly 1½ weeks as well, 2019 has been off to kind of a rocky start, I’m not going to lie. Plus, last week was my Birthday (although seeing with how my week turned out and lack of any sort of excitement, I really wish it wasn’t…) Hey, I’m not looking for pity though! I’m actually making it a goal to change my mindset and help 2019 (and my 33rd year of life) turn into one of the best years yet! I need to say it out loud and remind myself that because it’s my attitude and my outlook on the situation that makes it (as I’ll discuss in a moment)!
On a much brighter note, I have officially started teaching Pilates on a weekly basis and even started teaching Barre classes at a nearby Country Club – which is somewhere I’ve been wanting to teach for a couple of years now, so I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity! Plus, Kais turned 4-months this week – and is such a sweet and smiley baby that she literally makes my heart melt on a daily basis! My older kids are also super happy and healthy, so I truly do feel blessed with all of these positives!
Which brings me to my theme in today’s Newsletter: it’s all about your mind[set]!
Our minds are truly powerful and are capable of just about anything – if we let them! Thinking negative thoughts first thing when you wake up in the morning? Then you will most likely have a pretty miserable day. Wake up with a smile and ready to take on whatever the day may bring? Then chances are there won’t be a struggle that you can’t overcome!
The same can be said when it comes to health and fitness. If you look at eating healthy as something that takes away from your enjoyment or that exercising is just another chore than chances are you aren’t going to stick with them. No. Let me rephrase that. You WON’T stick with them – you WILL fail! Your mind and your thoughts need to be in it before you achieve it – and this goes for absolutely everything – health and fitness included!
Don’t look at eating better and getting in shape as something that is negative or that you dread doing! Start by making small and simple changes and you WILL accomplish your goals! Maybe not today, maybe not even next month, but it’s those small steps that make healthy living a lifestyle, so why not take one today and change your outlook on life, and it will change its outlook on you!
Just like I said in my Blog Post (which you can read ):
Doing what makes us happy means that it’s easier to stick with it, and if it’s easier to stick to, then it can become a lifestyle change. Diets don’t work. Fads don’t stay. If you want to get – and stay – healthy if you want to become the best version of yourself, then you need to stick with your plan for the long haul and truly make it a habit and part of your life on a daily basis – aka, make a lifestyle change!
So join me and let’s start implementing some simple changes in your day-to-day lives to help make 2019 your healthiest, happiest and fittest year yet! You CAN achieve all you are set out to by just putting your mind to it! Change IS POSSIBLE! And these lifestyle changes are what makes it all happen!
{You can also make someone else happy by giving them a special greeting card by Paperless Post! They also have tons of invites – so you can save time, money, and the environment too!}
So keep reading these Newsletters because change is only going to happen if you LET IT! You can also CONTACT ME to get started on your own plan today – just ask me how!
