March 22nd Newsletter
It’s officially Spring and I’m ready to get back at it! Not that I was ever completely unmotivated, but let’s be real, the cold, dark and gloomy days of winter really do a number on my motivation factor and make it hard to want to go at anything full force! Thankfully, that only lasted a few months and with a newborn hanging around, I don’t feel all that guilty for not being as productive as I normally would have liked.
My newborn is now 6-months though and besides her reverting to her “newborn way of sleeping” (no thanks to the time change, traveling and teething), I feel like our days are a little more freeing and getting stuff done isn’t quite as hard as it was a couple of months ago. Having gone to Expo West and seeing all of the great new companies and products that are set to hit store shelves this year also has put a whole new spring in my step and has me ready to hit the ground running – so to speak!
Speaking of Natural Products Expo West (NPEW), for those who didn’t read my last Newsletter, this year was bigger and better than ever, with over 80K attendees and more booths and vendors then could ever be imagined! And while yes, there were your nationally-known vendors, there were also tons of up-and-comers with the theme of lower-sugar, lower-carb and plant-based truly taking the place by storm! For those who know me, know this is 100% up my alley and made it easy to enjoy this show more than ever before! Plus, I had Kaia, my little 12lb side-kick in-tow the whole time, so although my biceps were literally dead by the end of the weekend, we had a great time and she definitely helped to make my time there memorable – for both myself and the vendors that we met!
So why do I go to Expo West – you may wonder – besides all of the great samples, of course?! My main objective is to help my followers “healthify” their eating habits and simplify their purchasing decisions since 1) labels can be confusing, and 2) there are SO many products to choose from. This is why I choose to spend time reviewing the items that I do – to make your lives easier!
