Partnering with a non-profit in Guatemala to provide holistic care to malnourished children and their mothers, they start with pre-natal supplementation and education on nutrition and sanitation and continue on until the child reaches age two with nutrition supplementation, parasite de-worming medicine, and more education for the mother regarding breastfeeding and complementary feeding.
NUTRITION-WISE: Made with many Organic ingredients, YumbutterGo products are made in tiny batches, ensuring that all their final products are as fresh as possible. FINAL THOUGHTS: Finding snacks that are not only convenient, but also healthy, seem like a constant affair in the life of a Mom. Especially when trying to change it up from your typical, everyday choices.
That’s why the idea of YumbutterGo is so enticing. Not only does it change up your typical nut butters by adding superfoods, their also in a portable squeeze-package that can be easily put in your purse, diaper bag, gym bag, or whatever else it is that you like to tote around with you. With all that said, the fact that they are in a “squeeze” package makes it kind-of hard, especially on your initial opening, to get them mixed enough so you aren’t eating oil. I kneaded the various packages for quite some time before actually opening them, to avoid any over-run of oil, but it still seemed to pour out regardless. This also means that once you get to the bottom of the package that the nut butters will undoubtedly be so tough (thanks to their lack of oil), that you won’t be able to get them out at all. But, if you’re looking for this type of on-the-go packaging, I don’t see anyway around this issue.
