THE COMPANY:
Sitting on a evergreen tree-lined 10 acre property in Eugene, Oregon, Springfield Creamery employees about 58 dedicated folks who work each day to bring you the quality Nancy’s Dairy and Soy Products you have come to expect for over 50 years.
As a family owned business with 2nd and 3rd generation family members joining Chuck and Sue Kesey, the Creamery’s founders, as well as a group of dedicated employees, those at Nancy’s make sure that hard work and love goes into everything they do. In fact, the company’s namesake, Nancy Van Brasch Hamren, still works at the Springfield Creamery as long-time bookkeeper and recipe supplier.
As Nancy puts it, “The neat thing about this creamery is that it’s not just work. I’m the bookkeeper and the historian. I do research on new cultures, new ingredients; I taste every batch of yogurt we make. We are each deep banks of knowledge about many things, and what makes it so enjoyable is that we all fill in for each other in so many ways. It’s a culture of sharing.”

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Being lactose intolerant myself, and raising my kids on a non-dairy diet as well, finding dairy-free yogurt that we can all enjoy has been a challenge. However, after discovering the high quality and delicious Soy Yogurt from Nancy’s Yogurt I know that I can once again be a yogurt lover – as I used to eat dairy yogurt everyday before realizing that my stomach issues weren’t being helped by my love of dairy ;).
And for those who do eat dairy, it’s nice to see that all of Nancy’s products are either Organic or made with hormone-free milk to ensure that consumers are getting the best products possible without having to worry about their health. Not to mention that they taste great – from what my dairy-eating counterparts have told me ?.
