Daily Habits That Help Cleanse the Body of Toxins

We’re exposed to toxins every day. You might breathe in cigarette smoke when you’re walking to the bus stop, or you breathe in the exhaust from the bus. The foods you eat and even the water you drink may have toxins that aren’t good for your body, as well. Instead of fasting or using a dangerous cleanse of only drinking lemon juice for a few days, take care of your body with habits that help support your immune system. Toxins in Your Body

There is no lack of toxins in your body. You take in toxins when you eat; it might be processed food or fresh vegetables that were sprayed with pesticides. You exhale carbon dioxide as part of your body’s natural detoxification process. Thankfully, your lungs have cilia that help push contaminates out of your body through the mucus in your lungs, and your liver naturally helps your body get rid of potentially harmful substances too. What To Do Everyday To Cleanse Your Body

A juice cleanse or water fast can stress your body, so take care of yourself to keep your body working effectively. Use an indigestion cleanse when you eat too much to help your body feel better. Here are five additional things you can do to support a healthy environment in your body:

1) Exercise Puts You in a Healthy Mindset

You know that exercise can help you lose weight, boost your mood and lower your blood pressure, but exercise can also help you be healthier by avoiding another binge. You feel better when you exercise and therefore are more likely to keep up healthy habits.

2) Stay Hydrated

Water helps your body flush out toxins. Although other liquids support the same process, the sugar and salt content makes your body work harder. Drink lots of water to support a healthy immune system. Are you bored with plain water? Add fresh fruits for a flavor punch.

3) Detox Your Pantry

Keep healthy foods in your pantry for meals and snacks. It’s much harder to overindulge when you have nutritional foods in your cabinets and fridge. Clean out those sugary and salty snacks and food that you tend to crave when you get stressed. Replace them with fresh veggies and fruits loaded with antioxidants to support your immune system.

4) Get Enough Sleep

Getting seven to nine hours of sleep each night might seem to cut into your day, but your body needs sleep to function properly. Sleep is part of the detox process in your body, so don’t cut corners. Stick to your sleep routine to reduce stress.

5) Increase Your Fiber Intake

Your intestines are part of the detox process in your body. Your system works more effectively when you eat fiber-rich foods like beans, whole grains, fruits, and veggies. Fiber fights hunger, so you may eat less overall. It also boosts your natural digestion process.
