Your Job Isn’t Rewarding
Your job isn’t always going to be fun. Humans thrive on reward and entertainment. By making your environment fun and rewarding, you will soon find that you enjoy going to work. When you reward yourself in the moment, your brain will then elicit a positive emotion. This leads to a positive reward. If you do this all the time then your brain will begin to link pleasure to the task or accomplishment. This is great as it helps you to stay motivated and it also works wonders for your self-esteem. If you want to do something to help yourself here then you need to reward yourself when you hit a goal. You can offer yourself a small treat or you can go for a coffee. You Don’t Believe in Your Work
If you are doing work that doesn’t align with your core values then this could also be affecting you. If your role doesn’t match up then you will almost certainly be miserable. If you’re not able to do this or if you know that the company you work for often treats customers badly then this is a major sign you need to make a change.
