Ok, how is it 2019 already?!?! I still remember the year 2000 like it was yesterday – and the whole Y2K thing too. Hahaha. Well thank God it’s not 2000 anymore (for more reasons than I care to list)!
These past [nearly] 20 years really have taught me a lot about life – and myself, in general – and helped me develop into the person I am. But my favorite part of all? Back then, I had no idea that I would be here today, with the amazing family that I have, all while being able to do something I love for a living that simultaneously helps me and others. What a great feeling, I must admit!
And this is going to bring me to my point (which I’m trying to reach rather quickly today since I’m a bit behind on life right now – no thanks to our 7-hour airport stay, cancelled trip, and lost bags! My computer was also packed in there, which is why I was MIA the past couple weeks…) I’m still needing to blog about that whole experience, btw, because the comedy of errors is too much not to share. LOL.
[Ok, sorry. TANGENT!]
This year, more than ever, I think we all need to reflect on what makes US happy, and strive to do more of those things!
This can hold true whether it be what we eat, the types of exercise we do, the amount of time we spend with our friends and loved ones (whether that be more, or in some cases, less)… Doing what makes us happy means that it’s easier to stick with it, and if it’s easier to stick to, then it can become a lifestyle change.
Lifestyle change?! Yes!!! This is my core belief when it comes to health and the only way that I believe true success can be achieved. Diets don’t work. Fads don’t stay. If you want to get – and stay – healthy, if you want to become the best version of yourself, then you need to stick with your plan for the long haul and truly make it a habit and part of your life on a daily basis – aka, make a lifestyle change!
In the coming weeks I’ll bring you simple tips and tricks so that you can start implementing simple changes to help make 2019 your healthiest, happiest and most fittest year yet! You CAN achieve all you are set out to by just putting your mind to it! Change IS POSSIBLE! And these lifestyle changes are what makes it all happen!
