For Moms and Moms-to-be

Probably more than any other holiday (besides possibly Halloween), it seems that Valentine’s Day is just an excuse to indulge ourselves with lots of sweet and decadent treats. From boxes of chocolates, to rich, over the top, 4-course meals, not only is it a day that our most beloved goes out of their way to spoil us, we get to spoil ourselves as well.

And while this is all great in theory, the day after Valentine’s Day, or even that night, is often spent regretting the lavish desserts and handfuls of truffles that we engulfed throughout the day. But it doesn’t have to be that way!

You can have delicious, chocolaty treats without feeling guilty. Just turn to KIND and Snack away.

The Product: KIND Snacks has made it their mission to create products that are both healthy and tasty. And thankfully for us, they have succeeded! What began with just 8 bar varieties in 2004 has grown to over 22 bars and 6 Healthy Grains snackable clusters, with many more delicious recipes in the works.

With flavors ranging from Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein to Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew + Antioxidants, there is no doubt that you are doing something good for both your body and your tastebuds when you turn to KIND.

Nutrition-Wise: At KIND, they believe that if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, it shouldn’t go into your body. Actually, it shouldn’t even go into your pantry. And we agree!

That’s why all KIND Healthy Snacks are made from all-natural whole nuts, fruits and whole grains. There are no secret ingredients and absolutely nothing artificial. Plus, all of their products are gluten-free and non-GMO.

Full of healthy fats, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and other vitamins and minerals, KIND snacks are a delicious way to give your body the essential nutrients it needs, without all of the added junk that it doesn’t. What candy bar can say that?!

While [the original] KIND Bars are made with tasty ingredients such as nuts, fruits, honey and spices, their Healthy Grains Bars add a helping of all natural granola to each serving. Each “chewy-with-a-crunch” bar is gluten free and packs more than one full serving of whole grains (including amaranth, millet, quinoa, etc.).

Finally, KIND’s Healthy Grains Clusters also contain 100% whole grains with an added dose of superfoods like blueberries and chia, and of course, dark chocolate!

Ranging between 150-200 calories (per bar), around 100 of which are from fat, and containing ~10 grams of sugar, give or take 5 grams of protein, and 3 grams of fiber per serving, KIND bars not only help ward off hunger, they also help to satisfy your sweet tooth. The same can be said for their Healthy Grain Bars and Clusters which have a relatively similar calorie count (some varieties actually contain a bit less), as well as a bit less fat and sugars, but still a nice helping of fiber and protein.

Where to Buy: You can buy KIND snacks directly from their Online Store, or visit their Store Locator to find the store nearest you.

Final Thoughts: We definitely all deserve a day every now and again to indulge. And what better day than Valentine’s to do just that. However, just because you indulge doesn’t mean you need to make yourself sick or stray away from your healthy lifestyle.

Take KIND Snacks for example. They offer so many options of great tasting and delicious snack products that whether you are looking for a midday pick-me-up, a pre-workout boost, or a late night treat, KIND has something that is sure to please.

Chocolate doesn’t have to be a bad thing and can actually be part of a healthy and well-balanced diet. Especially when you add a healthy dose of nuts and/or dried fruit like you find in KIND Snacks.

So this Valentine’s Day, do something KIND for your body, and those you love, by indulging in KIND Snacks. Your body and your loved ones will thank you.
