THE BACKSTORY: Two Moms in the Raw is a family-owned gluten free, raw food manufacturer located in Boulder County, Colorado. Starting out as a natural path to wellness after Shari Leidich was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2004, the raw treats she began to make for herself became so popular with friends and family that she decided to share the goodness even further, getting help from her own mother, Marsha, along the way.

After lots of sales from the back of her car to parents of her childrens’ classmates in the school parking lot, and a few years selling at the Boulder County Farmers Market…Two Moms had its start.

Using only Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Kosher and Vegan ingredients, all of Two Moms in the Raw products are handmade, including their line of Granola Bars, Nut Bars, Sea Cracker, Truffles and Cereals.

THE BOOK: “TWO MOMS IN THE RAW: simple, clean, irresistible recipes for your family’s health” is not your typical cookbook. Filled with tons of scrumptious, nutritious recipes that you would expect from Shari Leidich, the founder of the national award-winning company Two Moms in the Raw, this book is also a great resource and learning guide, helping to teach you and your family how to cook and incorporate healthy foods into your daily diet.

With over 130 recipes, many of which complement the beautiful photography plastered on the crisp, white pages, each chapter is based upon a meal, including everything from juices and smoothies, to breakfast, dips, and veggie mains, to fish, poultry, beef, and even sweet treats and snacks.

To answer your question (or at least it was my question), no, this book does not only contain raw, uncooked fruits and veggies, although you will find plenty of amazingly delicious recipes for those too, including that for her Cinnamon-Bun Smoothie, her Peanut-Free Thai Noodle Salad, and the Coco Loco Macaroons. On the contrary, Shari does believe in eating cooked foods as well as raw, as can be seen in her recipes for Jerk-Rubbed Salmon, Sweet Potato and Quinoa Fritters, and Green Curry in a Hurry.

So whether you are a seasoned raw-foodist, just toying with the idea, or simply love great tasting food, then there are sure to be a multitude of recipes in the new Two Moms in the Raw cookbook that you will inevitably love! Plus, with all the great advice and tips on how to incorporate more wholesome and nutritious foods into your daily routine, you are sure to look and feel better from the inside, out as well!
