Nothin But: Raising Your Expectations in How a Healthy Indulgence Should Taste

For MOMS & MOMS-TO-BE and TODDLERS 1+*

One of the biggest misconceptions about nutritious foods is that they don’t taste as good as their less-than-healthy counterparts. From cookies and baked goods to everything else you can imagine, most people believe that you take away the unhealthy ingredients, and you take away the taste as well. This, unfortunately, seems to be especially true when it comes to dairy and gluten-free foods, and makes it pretty difficult when trying to convince the masses that they would benefit if they switch their way of eating.

And while these stereo-types are there for a reason – cardboard cookies anyone?! – this definitely isn’t the case for all health foods. You just need to find the right ones.

Nothin’ But Foods is one of these companies. They have made it their mission to create the best tasting granola-based snack bars and cookies on the market, all of which just happen to be butter, egg, and wheat free.

THE PRODUCT: Nothin’ But Foods is the creator of amazingly delicious granola-based bars and cookies. With a goal of raising your expectations in how a healthy indulgence should taste, each product not only looks, smells, and tastes amazing, they are also unexpectedly good for you.

Made with nothing but a few real ingredients, tastefully combined, those at Nothin’ But Foods believes that everyone deserves honest, real, nutritious, and delicious food. They understand that the food they make is going into your body, your children’s, and your family’s and make it a point to create only what they would feel comfortable feeding their own kids – a true testament to how much they care.

With 4 different flavors of snack bars, including Cherry Cranberry Almond, Chocolate Almond, Ginger Lemon Cashew, and Peanut Butter Banana, they make 2 varieties of cookies, including Cherry Cranberry Almond and Chocolate Almond, as well.

NUTRITION-WISE: Nothin’ But Premium Snack Bars are not your typical granola bar, featuring a perfectly balanced blend of organic oats, nuts, seeds, and dried fruit, as well as a uniquely delicious blend of honey, olive oil, organic sugar and other choice ingredients. With multiple flavors designed to satisfy a wide array of taste buds, these bars also have a high nut-to-oat ratio, making them a healthy and filling option for those in need of a nutritional boost.

Their Granola Cookies are also a step above your traditional oat-based cookie, featuring [just like the bars] a delicious blend of organic oats, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, honey, olive oil, organic sugar and other tasty ingredients.

Filled with healthy fats, fiber, and protein, Nothin’ But Foods don’t contain a lot of sugar or sodium, and are always egg, wheat, and butter free. Plus, some of their ingredients are organic and all are Kosher.

*Since there are nuts in these bars (and cookies), I suggest waiting to feed them to your toddlers until they have molars and are able to chew hard foods. However, when it comes to their nutritional profile, as long as you aren’t feeding a whole bar to your child, I think they are a perfectly healthy and delicious snack.

And although I don’t typically recommend giving your child cookies, these cookies are basically just a different shaped version of their bars and so, if you "have" to give a treat to your toddler, I would definitely recommend Nothin’ But Cookies over pretty much any other.

WHERE TO BUY: Nothin’ But Foods can be purchased directly through their website, or to find the retail location nearest you, please visit their Store Locator.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I’ll have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of oat-based bars. This isn’t because I don’t like oats, I do, I just feel like they all end up tasting pretty similar and the oats end up “taking over” the other ingredients.

However, this definitely isn’t the case with Nothin’ But Foods. Both of their lines [of bars and cookies] have a great ratio of nuts to oats. And although they do seem pretty sweet, there is surprisingly not very much sugar in them. Plus, they also contain a good amount of fiber and protein.

Best of all, they all taste fantastic! You would never guess that they are butter, egg and wheat free. With multiple flavors to choose from, even those who “despise” gluten-free foods will be glad they tried these cookies [and bars]!

Try any or all of Nothin’ But Foods today and see for yourself how amazingly delicious nothing but real foods can be.
