Freyda’s Pantry Review: Bars for New and Nursing Moms + Kids Too!

Freyda’s Pantry was created with new and busy moms in mind! Different from your traditional cereal or supplement bar, and much healthier than lactation cookies (which can be processed and sugary), Freyda’s prides themselves on the quality of their ingredients, as well as the taste of their products.

For Moms, Moms-to-be and Toddlers 1-Years+*

THE PRODUCTS:

Handmade using ethically sourced ingredients, Freyda’s Pantry is a line of bars made with the busy Mom and Mom-to-be in mind (although your whole family are sure to love them as much as you do)! Packed with nutrition and bursting with energy boosting ingredients, each bar contains 9 different grains, nuts and seeds, all of which are handmade and preservative and additive free.

Freyda’s Pantry includes 3 different flavors of bars, all of which were developed with Moms in mind:

  1. Feeding Food Bars: designed specifically for nursing Moms. They contain: “galactagogues” which are foods that are known to support milk supply.
  2. Super Charged Food Bars (Goji and Fennel): for energy and nourishment. A great start to the day for new & expectant moms/tired parents and those wanting a natural energy boost whether they are running, cycling or just active with a busy day.
  3. Super Charged Food Bars (Maca & Chia): designed for new moms and those in the pre-pregnancy period. These bars contain Maca, Chia & Goji, all of which have been used traditionally in various parts of the world to support fertility, energy levels and vitality. They are also rich in a range of essential nutrients including zinc and selenium.

NUTRITION FACTS:

Made using all-natural ingredients that have been used and trusted by mothers in the Eastern world for generations, Freyda’s Pantry was created with the busy mom in mind! With each bar containing a unique mix of super seeds, nuts and grains that are rich in B-vitamins, these bars are said to aid energy production and help reduce that “tired” feeling. They are also rich in Omega-3’s and other “good fats”, as well as protein, iron, calcium, zinc, selenium, and more.

Freyda’s Pantry foods are also non-GMO, and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans alike. Furthermore, they are all wheat, soy and dairy free, and do not contain any artificial additives, flavorings or preservatives.

Coming in around 180 calories per bar, 80 of which are from healthy fats, you will also find around 5 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, and 10 grams of sugar per serving.

*Although these bars are marketed towards Moms and Moms-to-be, they contain tons of nutritious ingredients that are great for people during all stages of their life! The only thing I would be aware of is that Fennel can cause stomach issues in some people (since it helps aid in digestion: meaning it will speed up your bathroom process, if you know what I mean), so I wouldn’t give too much of the bars [that contain this ingredient]t to young kids. Furthermore, all the bars do contain nuts, although the pieces are very small and pretty easy to chew. Just be aware of this if you are letting your young one indulge. Besides that, toddlers as young as 1-year will benefit from these bars, and are sure to enjoy the taste as well.

WHERE TO BUY:

You can purchase fredya’s Pantry bars directly from their Online Store, or at major retailers & independent health stores nationwide.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

The bars from freyda’s Pantry were created with new and busy moms in mind! Different from your traditional cereal or supplement bar, and much healthier than lactation cookies (which can be processed and sugary), freyda’s prides themself on the quality of their ingredients, as well as the taste of their products.

And while they may be a bit more expensive than other “bars” you’ll find on store shelves, it’s because they don’t use fillers or cheap glucose syrup, and are instead packed with a nutrient-rich mix of natural oats, nuts and seeds. You’ll also be happy to know that they contain ingredients to naturally help with energy and nursing, meaning freyda’s doesn’t need to artificially fortify their foods.

In fact, you’ll get that “homemade” taste with every bite, tasting each ingredient as if it was freshly placed there just for you. Even my kids love their bars – although I will say that the fennel flavor isn’t their favorite, so if it isn’t your “thing” either I’d probably avoid this bar because it is pretty distinguishable J.

Looking for a healthy nursing bar or a way to naturally increase your energy, then you should definitely give one of the bars from freyda’s Pantry a try!

Because, it’s those small steps that make healthy eating a lifestyle, so why not take one today?!
