Babyganics: Creating a Baby-Safe World, One Product at a Time

Nothing makes you more aware of what you put into your body than when you are pregnant, and nothing makes you more aware of the products you use around your home than when your little bundle finally arrives. Yet with so many different products out there all claiming to be good for this, or not containing that [chemical], it can be really over whelming and even downright impossible to find ones that fulfill our needs – in terms of both effectiveness and health-wise.

With some of us being super stringent on ingredients, and others of us wanting products that are more affordable, Babyganics has come into the mix with a mission of creating a baby-safe world, one product at a time.

Plus, with it being the middle of summer, and there being more bugs and heat then many of us know what to do with, Babyganics line of Outdoor Essentials, couldn’t be more relevant.

THE PRODUCTS: Babyganics is a complete line of both baby and household products that claim to not only be baby-safe, but effective as well. With everything from dish soap and laundry detergent to sunscreen and diapers, Babyganics has your whole baby-filled world covered.

HEALTH-WISE: Babyganics prides themselves in not using any toxic or harmful ingredients. Free of parabens, phthalates, known toxins, endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, etc., Babyganics has come up with their own strict standard for each of their formulas – since there is no generally accepted standard for “natural” or “safe”.

With all of their products tested and proven to be non-toxic, non-allergenic, non-irritating and safe for your baby, Babyganics also prides themselves in what their products ‘do’: gentle, nourishing, moisturizing, cleansing, soothing, rash-reducing, healing, stain-removing, grease-cutting, clean-rinsing, broad spectrum, super-protective, absorbent and a really good value.

WHERE TO BUY: For a list of both Online Retailers and for Store Locations nearest you, please visit Babyganics’ Store Locator.

FINAL THOUGHTS: When I first heard of the brand Babyganics I was pretty impressed. With a complete line of both baby and household products, which I assumed were all organic – due to the name – I couldn’t believe how affordable they were, and thus, wanted them all!

However, I must say that the name “Babyganics” is a bit misleading as their ingredients and products are not organic. In fact, there has been quite a lot of controversy in the past due to many of their products containing a possible carcinogen. In fact, the Environmental Working Group even wrote an article on it: Moreover, not all of their products are as “effective” as one would hope – especially when it comes to trying to clean up those really big messes with their dish soap and multi-surface cleaners.

With all of that said, Babyganics is a good brand, overall, and when compared to the majority of cleaning, bathing, and diapering products on the market for babies, you would do well with choosing any of their line. Plus, the price is very reasonable compared to other “all-natural” baby products, so you won’t have to worry about breaking the bank.

However, I still [personally] prefer to use products (and foods for that matter) with the least amount of ingredients as possible – and ones that I have actually heard of before, not some long, unpronounceable name. I will admit though that I have really enjoyed using Babyganics sunscreen and body lotion and have found, even with my sensitive skin, that I haven’t had any negative issues with them. Plus, they have a couple of great bundles, including their Outdoor Essentials Kit, which is perfect for your diaper bag to keep your little ones safe from the sun, bugs, and germs.

So, when it comes to the health of your baby and household, it is up to you to decide how “natural” you want to be and if removing the majority of chemicals, phalates, parabens, etc. is enough, or if you rather spend more and be certain that what you are getting is 100% organic. (Not to say that just because a product is organic means that it is 100% safe or good for you)…

Try one or all of Babyganics products and determine for yourself if this baby-safe line is what you and your little ones are looking for.
