Hi! I’m Jessica and I’m so glad you’re here!
Growing up as a gymnast and surfer in sunny San Diego, CA, I am now raising my 3 kids [+ 1 on-the-way] in even sunnier Dallas, TX. I have always been into health and fitness – or at least what I thought was being healthy – and forever dreamed of being a mom. However, dealing with adolescent health issues, including an eating disorder and constant migraines and stomach issues, I became aware that this dream could be shattered if I didn’t start doing what was truly best for my body.
Fast-forward through college, and the constant nudge from those closest to me to do something with all of my long hours of research and self-taught health knowledge, and I decided to go back to school and get my Master’s in Holistic Nutrition. I also became a Certified Nutritional Chef (and worked as a Personal Chef and Caterer for lots of fun clients and events in California!), and then became a Personal Trainer, as well.
So let’s just say, my job has been dedicated to being healthy and to make nutrition the forefront of my life – and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
After all this, I became a mom (after struggling with infertility a bit and using diet, herbs, and various exercises to help my dreams of a mom to come true)! I’ve also used the above to help with my milk production and have been fortunate enough to feed 10+ babies with my breastmilk.
I resolve this to say that no, my journey has not always been easy, and sometimes the roads have seemed [extra] long but through my years of experience and knowledge have learned to not only help myself but 1000s of others on their journeys as well!
And now, I’m here to help you! Whether you are looking for fun and tasty recipes, nutrition advice, exercise tips, info on cool new products, or just some encouragement on motherhood or laughs along the way, I am your girl! Follow along on my journey and let me help you where you need it most! [I have some super cool things in store for you guys in the very near future – so definitely stay tuned!]
Thanks again for being here and feel free to reach out with any questions! I’d love to become friends.
If you have friends or family who you know would love this info as much as you do, please pass this along! You can also LIKE HFFM on Facebook and FOLLOW along on Instagram (where I do most of my postings), or on Pinterest, and Twitter to stay connected as well!
