Crazy Schedules + Last Minute Gift Ideas and Holiday Recipes

December 20th Newsletter

I know I’m not the only one here who has been out of my mind crazy these past couple weeks, so I know you understand why I have been MIA! From Thanksgiving and our family cruise (which I would highly recommend!), to Christmas dinners, kid’s performances, and everything else this time of year brings, having time to chill is definitely not in my vocabulary as of late.

I have also been quite busy with all things work related (from cooking and teaching Barre & Spin to all things Instagram and blogging), as well as looking for products that you guys will love as much as I do (with several coupon codes too)! I’ve also hosted several Giveaways over the past couple weeks, and have 2 that are about to end – and 1 that starts today – so be sure to check those out! (You could win a Motorola Baby Monitor)!

Oh, and speaking of food: I also have some great recipes I want to share for this time of year! One is a tried and true favorite: Sweet Potato Pie Blondies. I seriously make these at least a couple times a month and am never disappointed! The other one is new: Tasty Gingerbread Banana Bread. Whether you want to make it into a loaf, cupcakes, or a regular cake with icing and sprinkles, this recipe is great and surprisingly healthy, so be sure to check it out!

So without further ado, here’s all the deets to the things I mentioned above:

  • Amwell: no one wants to be sick this time of year, but it is invitable. It’s also inevitable that it will happen at the worst time, when getting to the Dr’s is all but impossible. Which is where Amwell steps in! Simply schedule an appointment on their app and meet with a doctor via your phone, from anywhere you please! Don’t forget to CLICK HERE and use my code jessicab for 50% off a $69 urgent care visit! You can read my full review, HERE.
  • Armogear Laser Tag: this set is literally the best gift I’ve seen for boys (or girls) in a long time! Rated for ages 8+, everyone from my 1-year old to husband (I won’t mention his age) loves it! It comes with sets for 4 players, so it’s definitely a great family gift! Check it out on Amazon.
  • Ruggable: There’s no denying the need for an easy to clean rug – especially when you have a household of babies and kids! And that’s why I love Ruggable! Not only are these beautiful rugs machine washable, spill and stain resistant, non slip, and non-toxic/safe for babies and pets, they also come in 100s of interchangeable designs! Use my code FUNFITFAB15 for 15% OFF when you click HERE!

Sweet Potato Pie Blondies: Yes, Pecan Pie is good, and so is Sweet Potato Pie Casserole. But what if these two had a baby and not only was it amazingly delicious, it was surprisingly good for you too! That’s what THIS RECIPE is, and then some!

Tasty Gingerbread Banana Bread: As per usual, I have way too many ripe bananas on-hand, but wanted to do something a bit more festive than my usual Banana Bread. So, step in this: it’s a mix between Gingerbread and Banana Bread and tastes like the best of both worlds – in one! Trust me when I say, you’ll be craving THIS RECIPE all year long!

I know this time of year brings lots of stress and anxiety, but trust me when I say to enjoy the moment! I know it’s easier said than done, but look at it through a kids’ eyes and try to feel the magic of the season. Enjoy the love, the laughter, the dreams, and the magic of it all. Try to go out of your way to make someone else’s day – because that little gesture may just make yours! Because it’s those small steps that make healthy living a lifestyle, so why not take one today?!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays – and until we speak again! Xoxo
